Not all postpartum fitness classes are created equal. Your body has been through something remarkable, and the class you choose matters. It’s worth noting that postpartum recovery isn’t a short window. For many women, the mental and even physical healing journey spans 1+ years or longer. Movement can be a beautiful and powerful part of that journey at every stage. Here’s what a truly good Mommy & Me Pilates program should offer:
Instructors with real postpartum expertise. Look for certified Pilates instructors who understand the postpartum body such as diastasis recti, pelvic floor recovery, hormonal changes, and the specific way your core needs to be rebuilt after birth.
A personalized approach. Every postpartum journey is different. A vaginal birth and a C-section recovery look different. A mom who had pelvic floor complications may need different modifications. The program you choose should ask about your experience before you ever start moving in a class.

Introducing Mommy & Me Pilates at Marathon Pilates
Marathon Pilates has been a cornerstone of Nashville’s wellness community since 2013. For over a decade, we have helped women move, restore, and thrive through pregnancy, postpartum, injury recovery, and every season of life in between.
This summer, we’re launching something we’re truly proud of: Mommy & Me Pilates, a dedicated reformer Pilates program for moms with their babies right there alongside them. Our current class is designed for babies who are 6 to 20 weeks old, a stage where little ones are still beautifully portable and not yet fully on the move. But make no mistake, this space is for you wherever you are in your postpartum journey.

The instructor leading our Mommy & Me program brings more than 15 years of Pilates teaching experience to every class. She holds full comprehensive Pilates certification, which includes education + experience with specialized populations including postpartum recovery.
Every instructor at Marathon Pilates holds this same standard of full comprehensive certification. When you walk through our doors, you’re in expert hands.
We Learn About You Before Class Begins
Before your first session, we ask you to complete a short intake questionnaire. We want to know about your delivery, your recovery, any physical concerns, pelvic floor issues, diastasis recti, back pain, wrist discomfort- you name it. We ask because we care, and because that information allows us to modify movements specifically for your body on day one.
One important note: we ask that all participants have received clearance from their provider or midwife before joining. Your safety and your recovery come first, always.
A Community Built for This Season, Where Your Baby Belongs
We mean this. Mommy & Me Pilates at Marathon Pilates is a space designed with you AND your baby in mind. If your baby cries, which babies do, that’s okay. If you need to hold your little one through a set, we’ll meet you there.
This is not a class where you’re sneaking in a workout while quietly hoping your baby stays quiet. This is a class where your baby is part of the experience, and where every mom in the room understands exactly what you’re navigating.
Motherhood can feel lonely even when you’re never alone. These classes bring together moms navigating the same exhaustion, wonder, questions about their bodies and their babies all at a similar stage. There is something deeply grounding about being in a room full of women who just get it. Movement is the anchor. Community is the gift.
A Little Something Extra: Complimentary Infrared Sauna
Every Mommy & Me package includes one complimentary infrared sauna session that’s bookable any day, at any available time. Infrared sauna has been associated with muscle recovery, stress relief, and relaxation. It’s our way of saying: you deserve to restore, not just move.
What the June Package Includes
- 8 reformer Pilates classes for $240
- Mondays & Wednesdays at 11am
- Package 1 valid June 15th – July 8th
- Package 2 valid July 13th – August 5th
- 1 complimentary infrared sauna session (bookable any day, any available time)
- *July packages are also available for moms who want to continue beyond June.
Non-utilized classes are non-refundable. Classes canceled less than 24 hours before the start time or no-shows will result in the loss of that class credit.

- Fill out our intake questionnaire so we can learn about you & your baby before class
- Select your package 1 (June 15 – July 8) or package 2 (July 13 – Aug 5)
- Show up with your baby, questions, and zero pressure – no Pilates knowledge necessary
